Rainbow Music & Books has reopened!
Posted by Charlotte in Uncategorized on 02 16th, 2011| | Comments Off

Hello all! It seems we were so busy during our move that we forgot to mention one important thing…..we have reopened! If you haven’t already come by to see the new space, our new entrance can be found in the same building (54 E. Main St.) except that we are now down the driveway on the left-hand side.
    Here’s a picture of us now….

…..and one in relation to our old entrance:

While we may look a little different, we are back to business as usual. Our hours have remained the same, and we’re accepting trade-ins and doing special orders on music, books and movies!

We hope to see you soon!

      Another Renovation Update
Posted by Vinny in Uncategorized on 02 1st, 2011| | Comments Off

Our original plans to re-open on February 1st were a bit ambitious. Barring any extreme turn in the already bad weather over the next few days, we plan on opening this Friday February 4th. See you this weekend!

              Change in Store Hours
Posted by Vinny in Uncategorized on 08 22nd, 2010| | Comments Off

Hey folks – It has been a long, hot, slow summer here on Main St.  After careful consideration, we have decided that in order to maintain the level of service that our wonderful customers (that’s you) have come  to expect and deserve we will have to shorten the number of hours we are open, slightly.  Starting tomorrow Monday, August 23 the new store hours will be as follows:

              Monday-Thursday  11am-7pm

              Friday  11am-8pm

              Saturday 10am-8pm

              Sunday 11am-5pm (no change)

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but it is a necessary measure to ensure that we will be here for you for years to come.  Thank you for your continued support.  We will see you soon!

P.S.  As a reminder:  We validate parking if you park in a City of Newark lot!  Just ask for validation when you check out.

                David Byrne’s TEDTalk
Posted by adam in Uncategorized on 06 12th, 2010| | Comments Off

If you’ve never watched a TEDTalk, you’re missing out. They’re kind of like shorter university lectures, but the subject matter is always interesting and the lecturers are actually cool. This one is by David Byrne, whom you might know from a little band called Talking Heads, or from his recent collaboration with Brian Eno. In his TEDTalk David discusses how the evolution of spaces where music is performed has influenced its evolution. Very cool stuff.
