Record Store Day… So Soon!
Posted by adam in Record Store Day on 04 11th, 2010| | Comments Off

Become a fan of Rainbow on Facebook and let us know if you’re coming this Saturday for Record Store Day to see Freelance Whales at 7 pm! Or if you’re coming for some exclusive, limited Record Store Day releases. Or if you’re coming to get a bunch of freebie posters, and CD’s, and 7″s. Or if you’re coming because all our USED product will be 10% off. Or if you’re coming for free ice cream. We won’t have free ice cream, but if that’s your reason for coming on Record Store Day, you go right ahead and think that there will be free ice cream. But, I repeat, there will be no free ice cream. I don’t even know why I put that thought in your head…

    Freelance Whales In-Store!
Posted by adam in Record Store Day on 03 26th, 2010| | Comments Off

Biggggg news people. We just confirmed that Freelance Whales are playing an in-store for us on Record Store Day! Their debut album comes out on April 13th via French Kiss/Mom & Pop so this will also be a record release show of sorts. It’s gonna look and sound something like the above video. The smell, however, will be much more pleasant. Our store does not smell like a Brooklyn subway stop.

If you’d like to hear more Freelance Whales stuff hit up their MySpace or stop in the store and have a listen on our crappy speakers! We’d also like to say how excited we are for this show and how thankful we are to the band, their “peoples,” and even you, Mox Stitz (aka DJ Baby Sweat) for helping to make this happen.

Don’t forget, there will also be a ton of freebies and exclusive Record Store Day releases to grab on April 17th as well. It’s gonna be a great day, so don’t miss it! The performance starts at 7.
