As most are already aware, the Beatles catalog is being re-issued on 9/9 (that’s a Wednesday). We will be heavily stocked on the single disc version of all the albums. We will not, unfortunately, be heavily stocked on the two box sets. I was told by my distributor yesterday that I will not be getting my full order for either the Mono or Stereo versions of the box sets. The Mono Box is limited to 10,000 copies worldwide and the label allocated most of these through Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-mart, and Target, leaving very few for the 1000+ indie stores across the country. The Stereo Box is not quite as dire, but is still fairly limited at 50,000 copies worldwide. For these reasons we will not hold or reserve copies of the box sets. They will be first come, first serve in the store on the release day. We open at 11am.
